SUMMARY:Virtual Fair Housing Tester Training
DESCRIPTION:Learn the ins and outs of being a volunteer Fair Housing tester in your community. Fair housing testing serves a critical purpose in FHCO’s fight to remove barriers for protected class members to find housing and promote access and inclusion in every housing transaction. \nThe purpose of testing is to gather independent evidence that shows an entity — whether it be a housing provider\, government agency\, or social service organization — is violating fair housing laws. Federal and state courts have consistently held that testing is a legal and valid way of collecting this evidence and enforcing fair housing laws. \nBecome a tester today! The Fair Housing Council of Oregon (FHCO) needs people of all backgrounds throughout the state to combat illegal housing discrimination. Check out our Testing page for more information. \n\nPlease email testing@dev.fhco.org to attend this virtual training. Trainings are offered 2-3 times per year.
